CLINIQUE GIFT TIME

Woo Hoo! My favourite time of the year - Clinique gift with purchase day. Am the biggest sucker for this promotion. I take advantage of every one of theses offers, hence the fact I must have over a dozen floral Clinique makeup bags/toiletry cases!

But totally worth it! Actually still have not unpacked my last purchase (high impact curling mascara- my fav ever), but nevertheless I will be heading down to Myer this arvo for my latest floral case. Usually I purchase the make up, but at the moment its all about skin care for me. Have been eyeing off the Sun Face Cream SPF 30+ and also have actually really been enjoying my sample of the Superdefense SPF 25 (from my last set freebies).

Always good to go in early in the promotion, as tend to sell out pretty quickly.  Im out the door!

THE BODY SHOP - Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator

Have been testing the Body Shop exfoliator for the past 3 or so weeks and I have to say that I have been really enjoying it. Am usually pretty hesitant about exfoliators, due to early experiences with the super coarse and scratchy Saint Ives scrub (we have all been there right?).  I usually find that exfoliators either fall into two categories, the beads that dissolve straight away and do nothing or the other extreme, being the crazy harsh scratchy scrubs.
The Body Shop Seaweed
Pore Cleansing Exfoliator

Was really pleasantly surprised with this product (as I tend to be with a lot of Body Shop items). The jojoba beads and olive stone (not totally sure what this is... but sounds good for you) are soft yet hold their shape and you can really feel them polishing the surface of your skin.
Have been using this only about twice a week as my skin is supper sensitive at the moment, and don't want to agitate it too much.

with a little water

What I liked the most about this product is that you can really lather it up and as a result feels like a gentle cleanser combined with a scrub. I have some other exfoliators I love but often I have to combine with my cleanser to achieve a fully cleansed face afterwards. This beautifully incorporates the two steps.

Hustle Hustle Postie

It is a given that somewhere in the universe there is constantly a package  making its way to little old me. Often I tend forget how many orders I have due for arrival.
I am even on first name relationship with my adorable delivery man from Australia Post. Although I do wonder what he thinks of me, as I am usually at home during the middle of the day and more often than I would prefer, I am  still in my pjs (am final year uni student with few contact hours and i am pretty much nocturnal).
Anyway, thought would be cool to show my current orders and full shopping carts.

Ah I want it all! I am actually on my 18th (?!) or so order, so the extra 7.5% off really does help. Plus motivation to place my 20th to start receiving 10% off.
Ah I know I am such a sucker for all these incentives. In fact I have a friend studdying advertising, and she doesn't even ask for my opinion on things anymore. She says its not a challenge to sell to me! I literally will find any reason to purchase the item.... ah, no wonder my mum says I have shopping problems.
Have been wanting a really nice quality loose powder for setting my foundation, and have heard heaps of good reviews of the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Power. Also have never tried the Philosophy brand, but apparently the Hope in a Jar is fantastic, plus the blush is so cheap can just add that on to the order. Am on the hunt for a good lightweight sunscreen. Love the concept of the Clinique roll on applicator, would be perfect for touching up during the day.  Will keep you posted on my SPF endeavours.

Just placed an order last night on BeautyBay. Justified staying in on Sat night to study and save money. Biggest joke and I know it! All I end up doing is trawling though my favourite shopping sites, watching makeup tutorials on youtube and spending money ordering more products!
Anyway, this is my order. I cant even remember what I intended to get in the first place, but this is the final result.

Am really excited to try the Urban Decay Setting Spray, think will be a lifesaver  during the hot summer months. Think will get a lot of wear from it especially at festivals and all day events when I cant be bothered to touch up my makeup.  Also added in the primer potion. I have gotten one before as a sample with my Naked palette but avoided using it too much as it was so small. The Essie nail polishes are such fun looking colours, hopefully they turn out as cute as they look.
Oh, and also chucked in the Beauty Blender, have heard so many reviews on this, thought be awesome to try it out myself - man I am a sucker for the hype and I know it.....

First Steps....

Well, hey guys!

So, this is my first ever attempt at a blog or any type of self exposure of any sort (i didn't even have myspace). So please be kind!
A bit of background on me. Im Roxy, in my mid 20s and it wasn't until recently that i discovered that i am in fact a beauty junkie/hoarder. You name it, and chances are i have it, is in transit on way to me, or sitting in a shopping cart of the numerous online stores i keep in business.
Would love to hear from you about items your coveting or recommend, and will fill everyone in on my success and disappointments.
